Telephone-based psychology sessions

We understand that seeing your psychologist is important. Hence we have enabled options to allow you to continue to see your psychologist.

Medicare funded sessions

Select Book Online, and select either of the below options:

  1. Psychologist – Telephone consultation (20 minutes) – Medicare funded (91183) / Covid-19
  2. Psychologist – Telephone consultation (50 minutes) – Medicare funded (91184) / Covid-19

Both of these sessions are fully funded by Medicare but there are conditions for this.
Note the conditions below and book the appropriate option online.

Telehealth services will be available to:

  • people isolating themselves at home on the advice of a medical practitioner, in accordance with homeisolation guidance issued by the AHPPC, and people who meet the current national triage protocolcriteria for suspected COVID-19 infection after consultation with either the national COVID-19 hotline,state COVID-19 hotlines, registered medical or nursing practitioner or COVID-19 trained health clinictriage staff
  • people aged over 70
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged over 50
  • people with chronic health conditions or who are immunocompromised
  • parents with new babies and people who are pregnant

People in isolation or quarantine for COVID-19 can see any eligible health provider through new telehealth
items. Patients in vulnerable groups can additionally see a health provider via telehealth for a non-COVID-19
matter if they have seen that provider face-to-face at least once in the previous 12 months.

Private funded sessions – eligible for Private health Insurance

Select Book Online, and select either of the below options:

  1. Psychologist – Telephone consultation (50-60 minutes)
  2. Psychologist – Telephone consultation (Less than 30 minutes)

  • May be able to claim from your insurance company if you have private health insurance;
