Jane Lau

PSYCHOLOGIST

Jane is an AHPRA registered psychologist, who holds a Graduate Diploma of Psychology (Advanced) from Deakin University, a Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science from the Australian College of Applied Psychology, and a Bachelor of Psychological Science from UNSW. She has experience working with adolescents with ADHD and adults with Anxiety.

Jane provides private counselling for people of all ages and takes a holistic approach in her work. Jane strives towards an individualised and client-centred approach, where meeting the individual’s needs and ensuring their wellbeing are the main goals of Jane. In her work, Jane takes a holistic approach and utilises skills from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based therapy, Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic therapy.

Jane has a warm and empathetic personality and is always happy to be there to listen and help clients with their concerns. Jane is also fluent in four spoken languages: English, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese Chinese, and Japanese. Although the therapy sessions will mainly be conducted in English, she is happy to assist those with language barriers and with diverse cultural backgrounds.

Jane is NDIS accredited.
